I am very fortunate to love my profession, but I’m often asked how an engineer ended up in this role. Let me share my story with you…

While working in engineering and project management roles at NASA, INDOT, and Tippecanoe County, I was determined to build financial freedom and I passionately read books on finance, investing, and how to retire early. I also sought guidance from a trusted financial advisor early on and I followed the advice to a “t.” A few years later, the advisor was shocked at how much progress I had made.

During the same time, I came to realize through volunteer work that I loved to help people solve their problems, one-on-one. I couldn’t find fulfillment in my career completely because the individual helping component was missing. It was then that I realized how rewarding it would be help others in this way. Now, I love what I do! I’m interested in how I can promote my values with my money, time and talents; and I help others do the same. I love educating my clients, and my biggest reward is helping them achieve and maintain financial freedom.

In addition to helping individuals, my experience at Federal, State and Local public entities provided me insight that I use to help maximize income for statutorily restricted government clients.

Outside of the office, you’ll often find me encouraging my 3 kids in their endeavors, volunteering (mostly with United Way), and if I’m lucky, golfing with my husband (think Mr. & Mrs. Havercamp from Caddyshack).
